This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year I am teaching technology! I am teaching classes from PK-5th. While I'm teaching an array of grades, most of the classes are from PK-5th Grade. The majority of the school students are Hispanic/Latino, and many of them speak Spanish when they are at home.
This year, most of our students are joining classes remotely from their houses to stay safe through this epidemic.
With economic disadvantages, all students are receiving both breakfast and lunch in school.
My Project
For this project I am asking for a Cricut Joy cutting machine that will allow us to create special projects throughout the year! So much time has been dedicated to learning the subjects in the common core and we would love to incorporate special projects while teaching these subjects.
Having a Cricut Joy will allow me as a teacher to create fun manipulatives to use in our ELA and Math lessons and also to create decals that we can hang on our bulletin boards for each unit of study.
I would also like to give my students the chance to create their own designs for bookmarks and wall decals related to our lessons. Sparking the joy in learning is desperately needed now more than ever!
