Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

These books will be the cornerstone of our classroom. We will use each book to enrich our selection in the library so that everyone can find something to enjoy. It is important that we foster the love of reading at a young age so that children continue it on throughout their life time.

Who doesn't think Captain Underpants is one of the funniest book series of our generation?

The Baby Sitters Club, Dog Man, and Percy Jackson are also favorite characters for my students. We want to ensure that students remember their favorite stories and hopefully one day they will develop some stories of their own. I'm sure they will the books will increase our enjoyment time.
