This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In today's digital age, students are increasingly reliant on screens for learning, which can contribute to mental health issues and social anxiety. To address these concerns, I am seeking support to create a low-tech, engaging learning environment using flashcards.

The primary goal of this project is to reduce screen time and promote face-to-face interactions among students.

By replacing digital tools like Quizlet with physical flashcards, I aim to foster a more interactive and socially engaging classroom atmosphere. This approach will help alleviate the mental health challenges associated with excessive screen use and encourage students to collaborate and communicate more effectively.

With your generous support, I can create a classroom environment that prioritizes student well-being and social interaction. I plan to use the cardstock and book rings to create flashcards that will not only serve as an effective learning tool but also help build a sense of community and improve students' mental health by reducing their screen time. The door hangers will be used to organize these flashcards.
