My Project
As a 3rd Grade Teacher, I am constantly seeking innovative ways to improve my students' learning experiences. Research shows that flexible seating has a positive impact on student engagement, focus, and behavior. Flexible seating allows students to choose a seating arrangement that best suits their learning style, whether that is a standing desk, a wobble stool, a floor cushion, or a traditional desk. With the right seating options, students feel more comfortable, take ownership of their learning, and demonstrate greater collaboration skills.
The goal of this project is to provide a learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles, promotes student engagement, and enhances overall classroom productivity.
By replacing traditional seating with various flexible seating options like a play mat, bouncy bands, ball chairs, and carpet sweeper, students will have more autonomy over their learning environment, improving their focus, collaboration, and creativity.
