My Students
At our Title I school with students who come from low-income or high-poverty homes, students are faced with challenges in and outside of the classroom. All of the students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch. Sometimes these meals are all that they may get for the day. Some of the students who come to my classroom face homelessness, live in shelters, motels, or are living with family members or friends.
Many students come to my classroom for extra help and support with their academic and social learning.
My classroom is specially structured to meet their needs. We strive to provide a full educational experience for all students, incorporating social skills, community skills, and functional skills into our daily routines.
My Project
A Cricut Explore Air 2 would allow my classroom to enhance their creativity! Having the opportunity to cut through a variety of materials, creating different 3D paper products, using fabric cuts for dramatic play sets, making manipulatives for STEAM, and even be able to personalize student crafts.
Making a personal connection with each student truly makes a difference.
We will also use our Cricut to create fun manipulatives and cut-outs to capture students' attention and aid in engagement during a lesson.
The Cricut can also help us create great captions, banners, posters, label our instructional materials, and create t-shirts for special events. The best part is students will learn how to use the machine and be involved un creating future classroom projects/materials!
