Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I will take online courses with the Academic Language Development Network (ALD) provided by Stanford professors in order to develop lessons that will target the needs of my English Learners. Every time I complete a course I will receive a certificate of completion as I grow professionally.

The Dell laptop will provide me the opportunity to enhance my craft as a teacher of English Learners.

The courses I will enroll in will teach me how to incorporate CCSS and California English Language Development Standards (CELDS) into my lessons in order to develop my students' academic output. This course will allow me to continue to refine my practice as a teacher, specifically for English Learners.

My Project

I need a Dell laptop in order to access online courses and continue to grow professionally. Common Core State Standards address the use of technology as part of teaching so that we can better prepare our students for the 21st century. The use of technology is now an integral part of teaching.

With the use of the laptop, I will be able to go online and access CCSS websites and other supported resources to learn how to implement technology.

I will be able to continue to grow professionally in the area of technology if I get funded.
