Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I genuinely love my Math III students for their curiosity, resilience, and diverse perspectives they bring to our classroom. Each student has a unique way of approaching problems, and I admire how they persevere through challenging concepts, often surprising themselves with what they can accomplish. My students have demonstrated their ability to learn and be thinkers and problem solvers by taking pride in fostering their confidence and independence in mathematics.
A smart board will significantly impact students' learning by providing an interactive platform where abstract concepts become tangible.
For instance, the smart board allows students to manipulate equations and see real-time changes when we explore polynomial graphs, deepening their understanding of connections between algebraic and graphical representations. It also enables collaborative problem-solving, where students can actively participate in building solutions, drawing graphs, or annotating problems as a group.
The goal for wanting a smart board is to create a more dynamic and engaging learning environment where all students, regardless of their learning style, can thrive. By integrating visuals, auditory, and kinesthetic elements, that smart board will support my English learners and diverse learners who benefit from scaffolding instruction and multimedia supports.
What makes my students unique is their varied backgrounds and strengths. They bring many experiences and perspectives to your classroom, enriching our discussions and collaborative efforts. A smart board will help them grasp complex math concepts and celebrate and leverage them individually by offering personalized learning experiences.
