This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many students struggle with self regulating their emotions and needs. This can make it challenging for a student to focus and stay in their seat. This can also negatively impact a students grades.
There are so many different resources that can help my students sensory needs to be fulfilled.
I would love for the calming corner in the classroom to be filled with these tools. By providing my students with these resources, they will be able to regulate their sensory needs and improve their focusing in the classroom. When my students need a break, they would be able to choose which items they want to use.
