My Students

Bright smiles and bright futures, my students are excited about everything. They are motivated and full of potential. I haven't seen such an excited group of learners in a long time.

"Together Everyone Accomplishes More" is our classroom motto.

Communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity are an essential part of learning in our classroom. As a team, my students learn and support each other.

My school is over 50% minority students from a wide range of social & economic backgrounds. Students come from a variety of cultures and bring unique experiences to our classroom. Many of our students are transfers from other areas because their parents seek out our school for its excellent academic standards and our community reputation.

My Project

A subscription to Brain POP Jr. will allow me to introduce and/or reinforce concepts to my students. It covers a wide variety of topics. As an example, students can access short animated videos on topics ranging from parts of speech to famous Americans. It spans all areas of the curriculum, including Writing, Reading, Science, Social Studies, Math, Art and Technology. Brain POP Jr. will hold the interest of all students. It will allow for eager learners to explore new concepts and reinforce previously taught material as a group, on their own, or with a partner. Brain POP Jr. is researched based and aligns with Common Core Standards.
