This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a 5th grade teacher seeking to incorporate wobble cushions into our classroom for flexible seating. I appreciate the unique qualities of each of my students, from their creativity and curiosity to their resilience and determination. What I love most about my students is their eagerness to learn and their ability to support one another in their educational journey.

Throughout the day, students collaborate with partners or in groups, sitting around the room.

Introducing resources like wobble cushions for flexible seating will greatly benefit them by allowing for movement and engagement during these collaborations, catering to their individual learning styles and needs. These cushions will provide a nice alternative to sitting on the floor, promoting better focus, posture, and overall well-being in the classroom. I am confident that these cushions will enhance their learning experience and empower them to excel academically and personally.
