it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our diverse classroom, where refugee, newcomer, and English language learners come together, fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment is crucial. As we focus on Geometry, we face unique challenges in making abstract concepts accessible and engaging for all students. To address these needs, we seek your support in acquiring dry erase markers, a magnetic whiteboard holder, and a world map classroom rug.
These tools will not only support our students in grasping Geometry concepts but also promote collaboration, visual learning, and a sense of global awareness.
Dry erase markers will empower our students to actively participate in lessons. With these markers, they can draw, annotate, and solve problems directly on whiteboards, allowing for immediate feedback and a hands-on learning experience. This interactive approach will help bridge gaps in understanding, especially for students who are still mastering English and may need additional visual aids to grasp complex concepts.
A magnetic whiteboard holder will facilitate more dynamic and interactive instruction.
The world map rug will serve as a motivational resource for our refugee and newcomer students, this rug will be a reminder of their diverse backgrounds and experiences. It will create a sense of belonging and connection to their learning environment, enhancing their engagement and comfort in the classroom.
