Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school closed due to being in one of the first epicenters for the pandemic. Many of my students were able to transition to remote learning, however, it was not an easy process. Our school currently uses Google as a platform, but to improve my teaching I will need more resources to make learning more engaging.
I hope to reach all learners of all levels with the technology I intend to incorporate to continue either remote learning or a blended hybrid model.
It is important that I reach my students so they can successfully move on to the next level in their secondary education.
My Project
During remote learning, my students have successfully used Google Classroom and the Google platform to complete activities. However, students still struggle with properly taking notes in a remote setting. The materials I will need to help students with note-taking skills are a document camera and a graphics tablet.
These materials will allow for me to create more interactive videos for note-taking and dissemination of content.
I will be able to precisely enhance class notes for learners of all abilities. By modeling, I will be able to show students how to read and annotate texts, how to properly take notes, and how to annotate important diagrams.
