My Project
The Constitution Quest board games and Breakout EDU digital subscription will transform my 8th-grade history classroom by making learning more engaging, interactive, and student-centered. These resources will help students deepen their understanding of the Constitution, key historical events, and civic principles through hands-on and collaborative experiences. The board game reinforces constitutional knowledge in a fun and competitive format, while Breakout EDU challenges students with immersive problem-solving tasks that develop critical thinking and teamwork.
My goals for this project are to increase student engagement, reinforce content knowledge in an interactive way, and encourage collaboration and historical analysis.
By integrating these tools with our extensive use of Interactive Student Created Notebooks, students will not only document their learning but also actively apply it in meaningful ways. These activities will enhance their ability to analyze primary sources, make historical connections, and understand the broader impact of the Constitution and Reconstruction era.
My students are special because they are inquisitive, hands-on learners who thrive when given opportunities to collaborate and think critically. They bring diverse perspectives and a strong willingness to engage in discussion and debate. These resources will empower them to take ownership of their learning while making history more relevant and exciting. By providing dynamic, interactive experiences, I aim to foster a lasting understanding of our nation’s history and its foundational principles.
