Weekly, my students engage in activities with their Pre-K buddies. We implement the GLOs, assist in working memory, having an engaging environment, and continuously instill pilina, relationships. Recently, my students incorporated engineering processes and created compound machines. Studentsʻ buddies were intrigued and enthusiastic participants. As a class, we decided to continue hands-on engagement through Integrating math, science and other content curriculum as a project-based approach. I would like my students to use the engineering questions with Pre-K students to design objects using different geometric shapes and work together to build simple/compound items, gadgets using various stem kits and geometric pattern blocks. As a token of remembrance, I would like my students to assist their buddies to display their geometric object in a small frame and be able to keep their project from the various stem kit. As these projects are completed, my students will celebrate with their buddies having snacks as a token of accomplishment and continuous building pilina, relationship.
