This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in an urban school setting in which families struggle to have their everyday needs met, such as food, clothing, and school supplies. This does not stop my students from coming to school each day with a positive attitude and ready to learn!

My students are excited to be in school and learn new things every day.

Seeing my students smile in the morning when they first arrive is a great way to start the day! These hard workers enjoy writing, sharing their thoughts and ideas with their peers, and have a thirst for knowledge!

My Project

A new classroom easel is essential to enhance my students' learning experiences! This useful tool will be utilized daily as part of our literacy block in which students will work together on phonics, literacy, and math lessons.

My students are busy learners that will need space to move around the classroom and an area where their work can be seen.

Students will use the new easel to work on phonics skills, comprehension, or research for projects we are working on. The new easel will enhance our daily classroom learning and make learning fun and easily accessible!
