Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Technology plays a big role in my daily classroom routines. As a supplement to instructional time, my students work independently on math and reading programs to support their academic growth. My students love showing what they know on the various educational platforms that we use everyday. In fact, they make a point of reminding me when it is their scheduled independent work time. When all of them are on their tablets at the same time, it can be pretty noisy and difficult to concentrate. If they turn the volume too low to help offset some of the noise, then they can’t give their full focus to the lessons or assessments that they are trying to complete. I want my students to have the opportunity to do their very best by having all of the necessary tools on hand.

A class set of headphones will give my students a boost in their learning by minimizing distractions and allowing them to have better focus on educational content.

Additionally, if my students have their own headphones it will enhance their individualized learning experiences and allow them to work at their own pace without disturbing others.

This year I have the opportunity to loop with my amazing students so I am very excited about the idea of presenting them with this enhancement to our classroom. Your generosity would make a significant difference by promoting student engagement and academic achievement.
