My Project
Technology today is everywhere and being technologically savvy is key for all students. Being able to navigate on different platforms and utilize various technological tools are skills students need for success in the 21st century.
My goal is to help my students in being comfortable and competent with technology by supporting them in developing the essential skills needed for the digital age.
An interactive whiteboard would provide students an opportunity to interact with different technology daily. With daily use, students can learn to explore and engage in hands-on use of technology using various applications to perform a variety of tasks.
My second graders will be able to interact, collaborate and manipulate data on the touch screen. They will be able to use this technology to solve math problems and explain their reasoning to classmates. They can even split the screen to compare strategies. Students will have the ability to readily access information and research topics as a class. They will also be able to easily participate in virtual decision-making with tools for voting or ranking.
