Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with English Language Learners. Each day they have twenty minutes to use a program called Lexia English to practice their Speaking and Listening skills. This program requires the students to have headphones with microphones so they can repeat back and speak to the computer. In a classroom with 20 other students, it's not possible for the computer to hear them without the mic's headphones.
Additionally, each year, ELL students must take the WIDA assessment and for both the speaking and listening assessments, these students need the mics and headphones.
