My Project
In our wonderful English Learner classrooms, we are looking for more ways to incorporate speaking. Our students need to practice speaking English so they can be successful in their other classrooms, do well on their yearly standardized English test, and have better communication everywhere.
Scholastic Action magazines contain articles we can use for class discussions, as well as excellent reader's theater scripts that we can use with our students.
We focus on the four domains of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in our classes. Along with giving us great scripts for speaking practice, Scholastic Action magazine will provide us with content that we can use that will cover all four areas and be engaging to middle school students.
