My Project

Our students are high school English language learners. They come from many different countries with great hopes and aspirations, and yet at times with great academic deficits. Starting to learn a new language in their high school years can be very difficult and scary. They find themselves feeling different and sounding awkward. It's a real struggle for them.

Our students are working to gain confidence in themselves as they learn English.

The headsets will provide privacy and decrease risk as they speak, listen to, and practice English. The book offers great vocabulary and speaking lessons for ELs also. Both items will be a very useful addition to my classroom resources.
