This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are English Language learners. They are learning the English language in my classroom. Many of them come from homes where English is not their first language. Some of my students are new to the country and are acclimating to a new life in America. I would like resources that help students with the social and academic acclimation to their new life in America.

Technology and literary supports would help students learn the English language, as well as hands on products for projects.

Projects that are practical for helping my students thrive in the classroom and in real life help them develop their language acquisition.

My Project

These activities will allow students opportunities for verbal interaction with each other as well as sentence structures that they need for writing. The products provide for multiple ways for students to built on their writing skills and support their language development. The games and boards provide interactive opportunities for students to learn the language in fun and engaging ways. Improvement as they learn the English language will carry over into all their academic classes and support them as lifelong learners as they continue higher education opportunities in their new country, America!
