My Project

At our elementary, it is our mission to help English Learners in their development of essential language skills, so they may communicate effectively within the school, home, and community. Learning through the pandemic has been difficult for all students, especially our English Learners. With weak internet connection and the many difficulties presented through distance learning, our students lost a lot of learning. By providing 2 iPads, we can move forward and continue to build their language development through the use of apps like Seesaw, Imagine Learning, and Google Translate, just to name a few. Students will be able to record their voices on Seesaw to improve fluency, and use Imagine Learning to target specific listening, speaking, and reading skills. Often times, students need to utilize Google Translate or other translation apps to help them fully understand the content and concepts being learned in class. Providing iPads for students to use in their homeroom classes will do the job! By donating to our English Learners, we can provide opportunities for language growth enabling our students to progress toward their maximum potential and succeed in all academic content areas.
