English Classroom: Engaging with Classic Literature

My Project

I teach English at my High School and love to incorporate classic literature in our units. The only version our district has of The Odyssey is very long and challenging for students to understand.

The Odyssey graphic novel is far more engaging, and our school site does not have copies for our students.

I want to get enough copies so that students can read them at their tables- I would love a class set of 38, but even 15 copies would be an amazing place to start. Students are far more interested in the graphic novel form of The Odyssey, though we will supplement with excerpts from the original format that we have available to us.
