Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I don't know my students yet, but I look forward to getting to know them and teaching them English with interactive lessons and fun activities.
While I do not know my students personally, the school's demographics and neighborhood show me that the students come from many parts of the world with diverse cultural backgrounds.
I grew up in this neighborhood, just like my students. I was also in an ENL class as a child. I remember my ENL teacher having an infinite amount of resources available that were fun.
And now, as the summer comes to a close, I am using DonorsChoose to prepare myself with resources such as English For Everyone sets for the upcoming school year. This is my first year at this school, and I look forward to meeting them and engaging them as we learn.
