it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am so proud of my students and the way they have overcome the adversity of the past year. After learning virtually for over a school year, they came in ready to get to work. Although they come from many different backgrounds (some very challenging) they work very well together and they love to share ideas.
With the STEM materials I have chosen, I hope to encourage my students to think outside the box, solve problems, and continually make improvements so that they know they must keep striving for better.
I am hoping to give them the opportunity to experience what it will be like in the world beyond elementary school.
The STEM materials will allow them to plan, create, discuss, and improve upon the projects that we will complete. I am hoping that the opportunity to build working cars and wiggle-bots will spark creativity and encourage the Engineering Design Process in a real-world setting. Students will be encouraged to use additional materials to change and improve designs or come up with something completely new. These are our future engineers!
