This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a few students who are constantly in need of being challenged. Their minds are so hungry for knowledge and they are often early finishers. I want to give them meaningful projects as extension activities that will help teach them a skill like electrical engineering, that they can take with them beyond the classroom. Instead of putting them in front of an iPad and saying, "here, write me something," or "here, make me a slideshow," I would love to give them something that is hands-on and encourages higher level thinking and inquiry. My students deserve to learn and grow, and I wish I could give them the world. Giving them some easy-to-use snap circuits that they can explore freely would make my heart so happy.
