My Project
This project includes materials for a wind turbine unit that focuses on the design process, environmental science, and engineering. It is aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Our wind turbines will produce electricity, which is measured with a multimeter, and with hope, LED lights! I've included the electrical generators, hubs and dowels to help with the blade designs, a high-powered drum fan, multimeter, and PVC to build the towers. This is everything we need!
Our students are capable engineers, who need materials in order to design, construct and learn!
This type of 21st century learning focuses on design principles, problem-solving as engineers, and collaboration. As an educator, it is always rewarding to see metaphoric light bulbs go on, but in this case the light bulbs are real! Thanks for considering this project.
