My Project
My students love to create and design! The Design and Play STEAM kits would be used to work on basic concepts while following directions like "in front", "behind", "under," and "over". They could also be used as inspiration for stories to create and organize.
Where will their boats, planes, or cars take them, and what adventures will they go on when they get there?
These materials would allow for a great chance to practice social language skills as the students create cars, boats, or planes together.
The Engineer a Coaster will be used as a motivator for students practicing speech sounds (rolling the gear down the path after they say a word), as a reward for practicing language skills that are a little hard for them, or for students to practice social language as they create a path together!
