Engineering Project Materials and Physics/Manufacturing Support
Help me give my students project materials that will lead to demonstration of simple machines, as well as civil engineering (truss, cantilever and bridging concepts) and snacks for vocational training after an extended school day!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These supplies will be used in a project-based classroom where engineering and physics is applied in a hands-on model to prepare students for careers in technology, engineering, or trades.
I run an engineering project where they demonstrate their design process skills by building a model bridge, and these supplies will be used to enhance the project scope.
The balsa wood is important as it is a primary building material. The extension cords enable tool use at the site of the project.
I also have students accepted to an advanced manufacturing program which teaches CNC and offers apprenticeships with local employers. These students have an extended school day. I am requesting snacks which will help them maintain focus and stay on task during a longer day.
