My Project
This year, we are implementing a new curriculum and one of the units coming up it buildings/engineering.
My project will make a difference because it is teaching children through experimentation about things they won't usually learn about at an early age like engineering and architecture.
These materials are hands-on, age appropriate, for pre-school students to use to create buildings.
These resources will help my students learn real world concepts through fun play and exploring materials. The Lakeshore Engineer-A-Coaster Activity Kit will help students create paths for the discs to go through and see where they end up.
Lakeshore Blocks & Blueprints Learning Center and Lakeshore I Can Build It! Architecture Set will help them understand how buildings are first designed and then built.
Exposing children to complicated concepts at an early age, through manipulation and play, helps them understand these concepts better when teachers use only books and videos in older grades to teach them the same thing.
