My Project
We're stepping up our real life problem solving and critical thinking skills by incorporating more STEM in the classroom!
Rodger Bybee's 5E Model of Instruction- Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate promotes active learning!
Students love the 5E hands-on approach to science and engineering as it promotes active, experimental learning to dive into the world of scientific phenomena.
These materials, AHA Exploring STEM Job Skills Kit, Folk Tales Problem Solving STEM Kits, Bridge Building Engineering Center, Playstix and STEAM Reproducible Design Challenges Workbook would supplement our curriculum and allow students to further engage their curiosity and problem solving skills. Students will use the STEM materials throughout many phases of their 5E's discovery- sometimes repeatedly as they realize how failures in science are an important part of learning.
