Engaging Young STEM Learners

My Project

My first year in STEM has been very successful in many ways. However, I would like to provide my K-1 students with more hands on materials that connect to the real world. Students have enjoyed coming to STEM this year, but I want to ensure even my youngest students understand how the skills we learn show up in real life.

I plan to use these materials as I teach students real-world STEM concepts.

The one kit allows students to explore best structures in order to protect buildings from earthquake damage. The other kit teaches about real-life bridge designs and the best structures for the bridges to be strong.
