My Project

Fifth graders are curious and hard-working, and they learn best when their interest and curiosity are captured! Fifth graders love to read engaging true stories, dramatic plays, fun poems, debates about current trends, and fictional stories with strong characters. My students will love this Storyworks subscription!

Scholastic Storyworks Magazine has a variety of genres with high-interest texts and activities that align with common core standards to engage and encourage 5th-grade readers!

The print & digital resource has everything needed to boost engagement and achievement in both reading and writing. Storyworks accommodates students with differing ability levels because they offer leveled texts, with read-aloud options to allow students to be independent with their learning. The learning tools that are offered in Storyworks would be used individually, in small groups, and, with the whole class for differentiated learning. In addition to engaging texts, Storywork also includes thoughtful comprehension work for students to examine text structure, write constructed responses and essays, and promote class discussion.
