Help me give my students engaging materials for World History whether they are in person or virtual!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Gray's classroom raised $294
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Oklahoma City Public Schools has a very transient student population, meaning our students may not always be present in the classroom; however, that should not limit their access to a quality education. Plus, the past few weeks have also shown us that the Oklahoma weather is unpredictable, and can force students to work virtually even when they would rather be in the classroom.
While we know students do not learn the same virtually as they do in person, that should not be an excuse to deny them engaging lessons; and research shows that students who participate in interesting, hands-on, creative lessons, think deeper, question more, and retain more information.
I want my students to love school and enjoy being in my classroom. I try to show them many different ways to learn and practice skills, including 21st-century computer skills. I want to show them that learning is FUN! Students learn more when they are interested in what they are learning. Materials from Teachers Pay Teachers are engaging, creative, colorful, and meaningful. They would allow me to provide exactly what my students need whether we are in the classroom or having to spend a few days online.
