This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bright, creative, hard working, and life-long learners. They come to class ready to try their best, and they strive for excellence on the daily. I would love to reward their efforts with independent reading books that they find engaging and exciting. After reading these books, they get to take a quiz to demonstrate their understanding. I hope to provide them with a fun pencil or sticker after they finish their book!

I teach 6th grade, so I am the first English teacher students have in middle school.

I set the tone for their English education throughout their middle/high school career, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I would LOVE to set them up for success by giving them books to read during independent reading time in our class and at home!
