it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a special education teacher in a low socioeconomic Title I school, all the students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. My class consists of 13 students. My kids are faced with many challenges in and outside the classroom. They are academically below grade level . Many come from a single parent home. Although my kids have varying disabilities, (Learning Disabled , Autism, Emotional Disturbed, and Mentally Handicapped). They are eager to learn and succeed. I want to provide a atmosphere that is safe, and engaging . Help me engage and inspire my students by becoming a partner in their learning.
My Project
My class consists of 13 special need students, we currently have two tablets that are available to the students. When it's time for my students to complete their math or reading independently, I noticed the students who are assigned to the tablets are more engaged and focused then the students who are reading a book or completing math problem using paper and pencil.
Technology makes learning fun and engaging, There are so many wonderful educational games and learning tools just waiting to be explored.
Help me give my students the opportunity to explore and learn through the use of technology.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
