This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A new classroom library filled with diverse books will get my middle schoolers excited to read! Engaging books play a critical role in developing life longer readers. Access to diverse texts allows for students to not only see themselves in a story, but also take a walk in someone else's shoes.
Diverse and engaging texts increase a love of reading and encourage students to be lifelong learners.
This booklist has texts that relate to a diverse set of topics, both fictional and informative. A full classroom library provides students with the opportunity to explore and use their imagination.
