This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are always excited and eager to learn new things. Our classroom consists of a diverse group of students from typical students to those with learning disabilities. Most students don’t have access to technology at home, so a lot of them are only exposed to technology when they’re in school. I have an inquisitive group of students, who are always eager to work with technology.
They attend a Title I school where they all qualify for free breakfast and lunch.
The majority of them come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
My students will use the RCA Viking Pro Edition 10 Inch Touchscreen 2 IN 1 Tablets as tools for differentiated instruction while enhancing students access to technology. Students will use the RCA Viking Pro Edition 10 Inch Touchscreen 2 IN 1 Tablets in order to be able to access various computer based programs across subject areas, while working on personal goals in reading, writing, math, and content areas. This technology will provide an engaging learning experience for students while promoting equity.
This project would allow me to keep track of assessment data, use up‐to‐date visual strategies, and hands‐on resources to help interest students.
Students will have access to a multitude of resources for both math and reading skills practice, as well as a math and reading center, which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students.
