This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have been on screens for far too long and they need a break! Typically, during small group instruction there is a technology component that provides the students immediate feedback with minimal interruptions to the group meeting with the teacher, as well as the self-checking component. That creates a safe learning environment that builds their confidence. Additionally, these VersaTile Kits would be beneficial because they provide hands-on practice with visual models to help with conceptual understanding of math standards.
These VersaTile math kits will provide my students with an engaging alternative to reviewing and practicing math skills during small group instruction.
From my twenty years in education, I have seen firsthand the student gains that have been made because small group instruction is a priority in our classroom. These VersaTile Kits will be a dependable and low-prep classroom solution that will benefit my students.
