FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Moore's classroom raised $434
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our 7th grade science students came to school this year, bursting with enthusiasm and excitement to learn and discover new things about science and the world around them. Approximately half of our students are bilingual, with about one quarter being ESL learners. They enjoy reading about science and learning how it relates to their everyday lives.
Our students are creative, curious and excited about Science!
In our classes, we emphasize hands-on labs and project-based learning to allow the students to explore concepts and connect science topics to the real world.
My Project
Overall, the project will reach approximately 350 students in Mrs. Moore’s, Mrs. Brimhall’s, and Mrs. Howard’s classrooms. Through the use of current nonfiction articles, this project aims to bring science concepts to life, increase awareness of current scientific progress, and engage students in science and engineering practices, in line with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
These magazines will also help prepare our students to develop the reading and critical thinking skills that they need.
Our goal is to continue to support our students and encourage them to become active participants in their science and reading development.
