My Project
Some of my most reluctant readers have found interest in graphic novels. I have been able to supply a few books; however, more students are finding interest in the books, and students are now trading books. They have gone through all of the books that I have been able to find, and I do not want to lose their growing interest. The book bins will help us keep the book sets organized so that students can easily access the books.

In our small elementary school, tucked away in the West Pullman community of Chicago, there is a class full of reluctant readers - mostly boys! Who knew that they would find a graphic novel series so interesting? I have tracked down and purchased as many copies of the series as I can. They have circulated through the class multiple times! It went from my students dreading independent reading time, to them carrying this series with them during bathroom breaks and asking to take the books home! The joy on the face of a little boy, who used to literally fall out when you mentioned independent reading, as he notices a new book from the series on your desk... priceless!
Now, they are refusing to read any other books! By funding this project, you will help grow our graphic novel library and help me to continue shifting reluctant readers to book lovers! Thank you.
