Engaging Real-World Reading with Scholastic Magazines
Help me give my students a subscription to Scholastic Action magazine. This magazine will provide access to engaging articles that will catch my students' attention and support their development of reading, vocabulary, and knowledge!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist working with 12-14 year-old speech and language impaired students. Some students work on improving their speech while others struggle with skills such as vocabulary, critical thinking, problem solving, and summarizing.
In my classroom I would love to incorporate reading and discussion that is not only relevant to their therapy goals, but also correlates to real-world events.
Having a subscription to Scholastic Action magazines will allow me to do just that.
Scholastic magazines are very engaging. Their colorful issues are filled with high interest content. I love how the magazines are available not only in print, but in digital form as well. There are also videos that match the reading content, and even activities that will keep students engaged. A subscription runs for one year of monthly issues.
