Engaging Reading Learning for RSP Students Through Games
Help me give my students with providing interactive reading games that will help strengthen their reading comprehension, phonics, and vocabulary skills in an engaging and enjoyable way.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an educator in a Resource Specialist Program (RSP), my goal is to provide students with individualized support to help them thrive academically. Many of my students face unique challenges when it comes to reading, and it's crucial to provide them with tools that make learning fun and effective.
The games will be used during small group sessions and one-on-one interventions, allowing me to provide personalized instruction that caters to the unique needs of each student.
With these educational games, my students will build confidence in their reading abilities and develop essential skills that will support their academic growth.
The reading learning games will significantly enhance my students’ ability to build essential reading skills. By incorporating these interactive tools into our lessons, students will engage in fun and meaningful practice with phonics, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. These games provide immediate feedback, allowing students to learn at their own pace and in a low-pressure environment. This kind of personalized, hands-on learning encourages active participation.
The primary goal of this project is to foster improvement in my students’ reading abilities while building their confidence and excitement for learning. Specifically, I want to focus on improving phonics skills, expanding vocabulary, and enhancing reading comprehension. Additionally, I aim to create a classroom atmosphere where students feel motivated to engage with reading, knowing that they have access to tools that make learning fun and accessible. Ultimately, this project will provide students with the foundation they need for future academic success.
These students benefit from personalized, targeted instruction, and they thrive when provided with engaging, interactive tools that cater to their unique learning styles. By meeting them at their individual levels and using resources that resonate with their interests, I know we can help them unlock their full potential.
