This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a self-contained behavioral classroom with a awesome bunch of students. They all have varying needs and all require support behaviorally and academically. They all have amazing potential but sometimes feel down on themselves. I want to show them how special and smart they are.

I want to give them every opportunity to succeed by teaching them the skills needed to be successful in school and in the community.

I am trying to ensure that my students are confident in themselves and know how to advocate for themselves.

My Project

These books will help to engage my students while teaching them different literary techniques. I want to foster a love of reading in my students that they can also apply in their real lives. I work in a special needs classroom that focuses on social-emotional learning. I want to help my students gain the skills needed to deal with their emotions in an appropriate manner. They need engaging content that they can relate too. It is my goal that all my students will learn coping skills so they can deal with their emotions to the best of their capability. They have so much potential and I want to help them reach it.
