Engaging Minds in Current Politics and Science!

My students need privacy partitions and Scholastic News to keep updated and aware of world happenings. Our classroom students will love to stay engaged in Science and Social Studies, following topics such as current politics and global warming.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My grade 4 students are extremely engaged and inquisitive when it comes to learning. Mrs. B's students have a definite thirst for learning and continuously challenge themselves and support one another. I have a variety of learners in my classroom, and every one of them has assisted the others in turn. Parent engagement has been tremendous and the students and parents work hard to ensure there is a continuum of learning at home.

I truly am blessed to have this class and look forward to an amazing school year in Grade 4.

This year I will be directly servicing 61 students in the content areas of Language Arts, Social Studies and Science.

My Project

These Scholastic Readers will keep students on board and focused when it comes to details regarding "age-appropriate current events" and discovery through "maps, graphs, and charts." Scholastic also hosts "multiple reading levels online", therefore allowing me to reach each student through differentiation; including "online Spanish translations" for our bilingual population!

Also exciting is an engagement in Science ,Technology and Current Politics and History through the use of journalism.

Students will learn to view the world through his or her own perspective, formulating opinions based on facts presented. Students will then be able to engage in discussion and debate, defending reasoning and learning as they go!!

Scholastic News covers a wide range of discussion topics in the areas of Science and Social Studies. These subscriptions will benefit my students greatly by exposing the student body to a variety of topics, in which they may have little background knowledge.
