My Project
Many of the students I work with have limited functional language. Some are verbal, many non-verbal. These materials and toys will hopefully engage them and motivate them to communicate.
Because my students have limited joint attention and functional play skills, I am requesting cause and effect toys and vehicles to model simple pretend play schemas and language which will be great to engage them.
The best way for kids to learn language is through natural contexts and play! These materials will be a great motivator for them to want to communicate while also allowing modeling of core words and vocabulary.
