I teach at a low income school in Arizona. Many of our students are second language learners who come from homes where English is not spoken. Our school has become a community gathering place where families are welcomed and students know they are valued. My students are little bundles of energy. They are very social and love to share their ideas and treasures with our class. I work hard to create a classroom environment where the kids feel like they are members of a school family. We work and learn together every day. We have challenges but continue to encourage and support each other.
My Project
Dry erase boards are an essential learning tool that I have utilized in my classroom for many years. Unfortunately, my individual dry erase boards are looking pretty sad. After years of daily use the “white” is wearing off and they no longer erase as they should. It’s time to say goodbye.
Your generousity will help to provide an invaluable tool that my students will utilize daily.
A new class set of white boards will ensure active engagement across the curriculum. During math, phonics and grammar instruction dry erase boards will allow me to quickly assess my students understanding and correct any misconceptions. A shiny new set of white boards and markers would very appreciated by my little learners.
