Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Imagine living in a world full of technology and you not being able to have access to it.
My school is a Title I school.
It is a very diverse school with students coming from different economic status backgrounds. My students all come from low income families. Their parents work hard to get the students the items they need but they are sometimes not able to provide them with things beyond the essentials.
My Project
My students will greatly benefit from having an iPad in the classroom. They absolutely love technology and are always very excited and engaged in their learning when they are able to use interactive resources. I know that my students will greatly benefit from an iPad because they will be able to use it for all subjects. There are many educational apps that my students can use to help them practice. With this tool the possibilities are endless. My students will be able record themselves as they read so they are able to assess their reading skills. I will have the capability of downloading a variety of educational apps to differentiate instruction. They will also be able to create projects and do research.
My overall objective is to get my students engaged and excited about their learning.
I know that my students love technology and if I am able to provide them with such tools they will be engaged in their learning and ultimately successful in school.
