Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year my co-teacher and I will be working with some amazing third-grade students. These scholars are inquisitive, curious, and hard-working. They come to school each day not only excited about learning, but about being a part of a community that is loving, caring, and focused on achieving our goals both academically and socially.
Our goal this year is to provide these students with the education they deserve to be successful not only in our classroom, but in life.
These students have proven many times that they are ready and willing to face challenges head on and we want to provide them with the tools and skills necessary to make that possible. Our world needs leaders and we are working hard to prepare them to be educated and active in our society!
My Project
Students love to learn about the real world, and Scholastic has engaged readers in Story Works Jr and Scholastic News for years! These programs help students to learn critical ELA skills while being informed of some of the most exciting and interesting current events.
Authenticity in texts is important for students to remain engaged and excited about learning how to become critical thinkers, readers, and writers.
Students in our classroom will work on these skills while hopefully, sparking an interest in real world issues.
Our goal is continuously challenge our students to use their learning in and out of the classroom.
