Students love to learn about the real world, and Scholastic has engaged readers in Story Works Jr and Scholastic News for years! These programs help students to learn critical ELA skills while being informed of some of the most exciting and interesting current events. Authenticity in texts is important for students to remain engaged and excited about learning how to become critical thinkers, readers, and writers. Students in our classroom will work on these skills while hopefully, sparking an interest in real world issues. Our goal is continuously challenge our students to use their learning in and out of the classroom.
